Grace Parker-Guerrero
Associate Marriage Family Therapist
I am a psychotherapist, mindfulness instructor, certified yoga teacher, and doula. I received my Masters in Counseling Psychology from the Wright Institute in 2022.
As a dedicated practitioner, I am passionate about helping individuals cultivate greater awareness of their emotional, physical, and spiritual experiences. My work helps people understand the ways in which the unconscious shapes their present day reality. Sometimes, this involves a compassionate inquiry into a a person’s family or origin, relational dynamics, trauma, and habituated beliefs.
Drawing upon a diverse background in community development, student leadership, contemplative studies, embodiment, and wilderness exposure, I offer a multidisciplinary approach to my counseling and therapy.
Fundamentally, I am a relationally-driven therapist carrying the psychodynamic tradition. This means I view my work with clients as a dynamic partnership. I am committed to helping my clients live purposefully, joyfully, and with greater awareness and self-acceptance.
As a second generation, mixed-raced, Oakland native, I am especially passionate about supporting and affirming matters of complex identity. I derive inspiration from poetry, music, and my three cats.
